Composites are now spreading throughout the aircraft. OEMs promise of increased fuel efficiency and reduced operating costs for the airlines as well as meeting passenger comfort levels has put pressure along the value chain to explore new possible applications of lightweight materials. Though eyes are turned to innovation coming from outside the traditional aviation industry, stakeholders’ ultimate prevailing standard is no compromise to passenger safety. That said, it is no surprise that RandD resources are spend in balancing strength to weight of interior components as despite significant overall improvements in air-frames and engines, overall operating costs continue to rise. IQPC’s 2nd edition of our Interior Composites and Lightweight Materials conference series will welcome leading industry experts from along the aerospace value chain for four full days of maximum knowledge transfer and best-practice learning opportunities. During this event you will meet international experts from airlines, OEMs, suppliers and academia discuss, hear and learn about their experiences and challenges with the application of new composite materials to aircraft interiors.
