Fashion-Dress-Style and the African Diaspora to celebrate Black History Month. A special talk to celebrate Black History Month 2016. Professor Carol Tulloch will showcase and share stories and images of black fashion and style in Britain, drawing on the research for her recent book 'The Birth of Cool'. "This obsession with dressing well is almost part of the DNA in the black community", noted Tulloch in a recent interview and this talk at the Fashion Museum will explore those thoughts further. Professor Carol Tulloch, University of the Arts London is a writer, curator and a specialist in dress and black identities.
