This year, the 114th Congress of French Surgery organized by the French Association of Surgery at the Palais des Congrès of 3 to 5 October 2012 and will be chaired by Professor Bernard Nordlinger Paris.

It is an event that already is the most important since we have the opportunity, and each other, to share best practices and experiences varied and diverse as the seal of the French language.

The main themes will be declined according to different surgical specialties make up our association. The most significant points are:

• The two reports to Congress that will subject the family adenomatous and cystic lesions of the biliary tree,
• Training sessions (FCC) includes most news topics of interest to both surgeons in training surgeons confirmed. They will number 20 and should, as in previous years, had been a success,
• Sessions surgical techniques as videos, supported by discussions will be continued and developed with a particular emphasis on innovative techniques,
• The interactive sessions, engaging fully the audience through an electronic voting system and will cover clinical records and controversies
• The mini-conference will be focusing on targeted teaching a subject of general interest
• Workshops breakfast: "Meeting with an expert"
• The developed, roundtables, meetings and bibliographic head to head form the body of the Congress,
• The sessions of contributed papers, posters and videos that reflect the dynamism of surgical teams and enable young surgeons to report on their work,
• And many surgeries will be broadcast live commentary, they concern bariatric surgery.
