re:publica 2013

From May 6–8 2013, the seventh re:publica will be taking place, turning the digital society IN/SIDE/OUT with the help of a wide range of speakers and perspectives. re:publica provides the stage to present many excellent, exceptional and audacious ideas. At the same time, it invites all guests to turn their output into input and vice-versa.

re:publica is one of the biggest conferences on social media and the digital community in Europe. It sees itself as a political, cultural and a young event which has developed from its 2007 inception as a social event for bloggers to a vital yearly event in the calendar of industry experts and enthusiasts, with more than 4000 attendees in 2012.

Organiser of re:publica is the republica GmbH. Its partners newthinking communications and Spreeblick Verlag have for years been involved in net-political themes and various aspects of the digital community and digital culture and run two of the most well-known blogs in Germany: netzpolitik.org and spreeblick.com.
