The Middle East is seeing an infrastructure boom in the recent times and structural safety has been a challenge for many organisations.
The Ministry of Civil Defence has come up with various codes and standards for safety, but there has not been enough awareness about this. The current industry issues like safety in confined spaces, fire prevention in public transport, emergency preparedness, active and passive fire protection, awareness about the new codes and standards etc needs to be taken up at an organisational level.
