he advances in wireless communication technologies and the proliferation of mobile devices have enabled the realization of intelligent environments for people to communicate with each other, interact with information-processing devices, and receive a wide range of mobile wireless services through various types of networks and systems everywhere, anytime.A key enabler of this pervasive and ubiquitous connectivity environments is the advancement of MEMS technology allowing longer distance communication with tiny footprint of hardware in low cost. Which in turn had promoted a flourish of a variety of network paradigms for specific purposes, such as mobile ad hoc networks, sensor networks, vehicular networks, underwater networks, underground networks, personal area networks, and home networks, promise a broad range of applications in civilian, commercial, and military areas.

The aim of the annual International Conference on Wireless Communications and Applications (ICWCA 2013) is to provide a forum that brings together researchers from academia as well as practitioners from industry to meet and exchange ideas and recent research work on all aspects of wireless communication networks.
