South Africa Meat Conference 2014

The inaugural South Africa Meat Conference has come about after realising a need to create an interface for the meat industry spanning the whole value chain of meat and poultry as food. As the South Africa meat industry is today facing a rebound from an extended downturn, recently lifted OiE ban of red meat exports, cheaper poultry imports, recent publicity about traces of non-labelled meat in stores and changing consumer preferences. Now is the time for the meat industry to map new ways of market expansion and production efficiency and the South African meat conference presents that platform.

The South Africa Meat Conference is an industry event designed for all stake holders in the meat and poultry value chain, from field to table. The SAMC-2014 conference will enhance knowledge in the fields of meat and poultry production, rearing and marketing of meat products and by products.
