At the 10th edition of the OPTATEC international trade fair for future optical technologies, components, systems and manufacturing, the internationally recognised industry meet will offer an anniversary programme which will once again live up to the greatest demands of the sector and its players in every respect. The International Symposium ESTO 2010, which will be promoted by the European Optical Society, is mentioned first of all in this regard. Partners to this world class event include renowned industry names such as SPECTARIS, the DGaO (the German branch of the European Optical Society), OptecNET Germany, photonikBB, Photonics 21, SSOM, the Expert committee for Quantum Electronics, Electrodynamics and Optics, Photonics Media and AT-Fachverlag publishers, as well as trade fair promoters P.E. The goals of the Symposium ESTO 2010 are to disseminate the latest discoveries and applications in the field of optical technologies in areas of photovoltaics, fibre-optics, LED, safety equipmen and medical engineering, and to scrutinise the various aspects of standardisation.
