WADEM is an academic, international, humanitarian association dedicated to the improvement of prehospital and emergency health care, public health, and disaster health and preparedness. It is a non-operational, non-governmental organization with a primary focus on education and research. Its members are multidisciplinary and span the globe, representing 55 countries. WADEM publishes a widely read, peer-reviewed medical journal, Prehospital and Disaster Medicine, which is currently in its 25th volume.
