Close to 1,900 WSWA members and suppliers from leading wine and spirits companies attended the 68th Annual Convention & Exposition in Grande Lakes Orlando, Florida. This year's convention included a variety of new elements. General sessions were on all three days and included, General Stanley McChrystal, former commander of U.S. and International Forces in Afghanistan, Daniel Okrent, author of Last Call: the Rise and Fall of Prohibition and former Arizona Governor, Bill Richardson. In partnership with the U.S. Drinks Conference, the convention also featured five educational sessions. The convention held four competitions, sponsored by The Tasting Panel magazine, and added a new competition, the Wholesaler "Iron" Mixologist Competition.
