Optical Interconnects Conference (OI Conference - Formerly High Speed Workshop)
20-23 May 2012
The first IEEE Photonics Society Optical Interconnects Conference builds on 22 years of the Society's successful Workshop on Interconnections within High Speed Digital Systems, and brings together researchers and engineers from multiple disciplines to discuss advanced interconnect technologies for applications at all levels of computing granularity from the chip to the enterprise. In addition, all attendees have the option to participate in working groups to discuss and design a conceptual solution to a predefined design problem. This problem is intended to promote interactions between the participants and provide an overall focus to the meeting. The problem working groups have been a unique feature of past HSD workshops, and we expect this to be true of the OI conference this year and in the future.
The annual 2012 Optical Interconnects Conference covers the full spectrum of high performance interconnect challenges in interconnect systems, architectures, applications and devices, with a particular emphasis on future petascale and exascale platforms in datacenters and supercomputers. It is comprised of invited talks of the highest caliber in addition to refereed oral and poster contributions. The IEEE Photonics Society Optical Interconnects Conference is intended to foster this collaboration and help drive new interconnect architectures and technologies.
