The future of education has never been closer or more challenging. In the midst of these changes, New Directions in Online Learning will gather together Deans, Provosts and Director of Online Learning for dialogue and debate on the future of learning, the ideas that are reshaping providers of online degrees and the practices that are allowing success to be redefined.
This year’s themes:
•Identify tools and resources to move from a faculty-centered to student-centered environment
•Integrate learning technologies to standardize curriculum quality and manage student expectations
•Explore strategic alliances with vendors that share your approach to student success
•Analyze different structural approaches to successfully launch an online course, degree or certification
•Assess technology options to incorporate into your overall strategy for delivering effective online learning
•Establishing methods for students to engage with faculty, materials and peers
•Find your niche among the different brands of education offered online
•Incentivize skeptical faculty to devote time and energy to developing online courses or degrees
•Build an infrastructure for offering a well-rounded learning experience including student services, tutoring and support
•Examine your admissions process to find areas of improvement, decrease decision lag time and increase yield
