Health Systems and Addiction: The Use and Misuse of Legal Substances Conference 2016

This free public service conference examines the role of health systems in addressing the use and misuse of legal substances, such as opioids, amphetamines, sedatives, and marijuana (in some states). ECRI Institute and its co-sponsors address the expanding role of health systems, how they interact with community-based care, and how public policy and payment policy shapes their actions. National thought leaders bring evidence and their insights on the scientific understanding of addiction, innovations in the prevention of misuse of legal substances, and initiatives to treat and manage addiction.
