AAAE/TSA/DHS Aviation Security Summit 2016

The 16th Annual AAAE/TSA/DHS Aviation Security Summit continues the tradition of AAAE and federal aviation security policymakers coming together at a joint summit to review the complex issues surrounding aviation security today and to look ahead to challenges on the horizon. The issues and challenges facing aviation security and the new leadership at TSA are many, including critical reports by the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General, increased scrutiny and legislative action by Members of Congress, and high-profile breaches of security by aviation employees. Airport operators and aviation industry partners are also facing new regulations, increased checkpoint wait times, and reduced funding and resources to meet ever-growing requirements for aviation security.
