Lille Grand Palais was built to answer the specific needs of today´s meetings and events industry. The building has a floor area of 45 000 m2 and is divided into 3 different areas all interconnected : a conference area, an exhibition area and an entertainment area. Its versatility (Conference - Exhibition - Entertainment) and its state of the art technology all under the one roof make of Lille Grand Palais a unique venue. Lille Grand Palais was designed by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, one of the world´s finest architects. The centre is shaped like a large ellipse and fitted with the most modern technical equipment to meet the needs of today´s meetings and events industry. More than 5000 came from all over the world to visit the building since it opened. Lille Grand Palais became an inspiration for numerous American, Asian and European town planners who come regularly to study the building.
