The City of Phnom Penh will host Cambodia's 1st International Building and Construction Industry Show at the new Diamond Island Convention & Exhibition Center.

The construction sector is the fastest growing sector of the Cambodian economy. Construction investments in Cambodia reached $3.2 billion in 2007 and an impressive $2.8 billion in 2008 despite the global economic slowdown. In the first eleven months of 2008, Cambodia had a total of 1,869 construction projects. Some of the major construction sites include the Camko City, IFC Tower, and Gold Tower 42

Investments in construction projects in Cambodia increased 38 percent in the first nine months of 2008, compared to the same period last year, said Lao Tip Seiha, director of the Construction Department in the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. While the real estate sector is expected to experience some slowdown in 2009, other sources of demand from tourism and infrastructure projects will provide impetus for the continued growth in the construction sector. Spurred on by increasing foreign direct investments and local consumption, the building and construction industry will be a bright spot in the economy.

It's time to position your organisation to capitalise on this growth and capture your market share at CamBuild 2010. It is the platform to showcase your products and services for the fast growing building and construction sector. CamBuild 2010 is the business to business event that will deliver to you targeted buyers including architects, consultants, engineers, project managers, contractors and developers looking for new materials, machinery and technology.
