Corporate Health Convention 2012

The team of the Corporate Health Convention would like to thank all exhibitors and visitors for the successful premiere of the Exhibition for Workplace Health Promotion and Demography in Germany. For two days the 63 exhibitors presented a variety of goods, ideas and solutions on the main subjects of occupational health management, ergonomic workplace design, and prevention. The practical forums were fully booked with 34 lectures. Altogether there were 1.514 professional visitors who surveyed the exhibitions stands and the practical forums.

Soft factors gain in importance ...

In the face of the demograhical change the soft factors of job security gain more and more in importance. People become older, their working time accordingly longer. Keeping in shape body and mind as good as possible is essential to meet the requirements in the daily working environment.

The fewest people detect signals of overload at first go … not before it is too late. For the most part, the body has to send very clear signals until his owner starts responding. Backache, burning eyes, … Why should we risk pain, if preventing is so much easier?

Stress, sleep disorder, sickness, illness … the fewest would agree or maybe they don’t know it by themselves. These aren’t only signals for a chill or a flu, but for burnout syndrome. Burnout can concern all social groups – pupils, researchers, nonworkers, pensioners, it doesn’t matter. But even today the mental health isn’t payed the same regard as the physical health. Everybody tries to protect and to encourage his body – why not doing the same with the mind?
