25 September, 2012    ニューヨーク NY , 米国
The Canadian Debt Capital Markets Investor Forum was held on 25 September 2012 at the Westin, New York. The attendees came to network, meet new contacts and catch up with old friends. This well established annual gathering really had become the must attend for anyone with an interest in Canadian debt capital markets.

The delegates heard an opening keynote speech from Michael Horgan, Deputy Minister of Finance, Government of Canada whose views on Canada’s economic and fiscal outlook set the scene perfectly for the rest of the day’s events. The attendees also heard a keynote speech from The Hon. Doug Horner, President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance, Government of Alberta, whose speech ‘Alberta: A Beacon in Turbulent Waters’ succinctly painted a picture of Albert’s outlook, its international relations, its economic and fiscal future, and its investment environment. The speeches were interspersed with sponsored workshops and editorially driven panels which covered topics such as the Canadian economy and housing market, Canadian oil, energy and mining debt, Canadian banks, and Canadian public sector issuers. The speakers took part in frank and open discussions on these topics which certainly captured and held the attention of the audience throughout the day.
It was an interesting and timely event this year which could not have been the case without the support of the conference sponsors. We would like to thank them:
