STUDENT FAIR SWISSUP 2013

The 27th Geneva Fair for Books and Press will run from 1 to 5 May 2013 at Palexpo.

This event that, every spring, brings together authors, publishers, broadcasters, journalists, bookshops and other stakeholders in the world of the written word offers readers of all ages a convivial and joyful literary encounter. Tens of thousands (over 92,000 in 2012) of these fans of the world of the written word, these lovers of words, race to the halls of Palexpo, which are transformed into a gigantic area of cultural exchange.
Everyone will be delighted to discover with a few clicks of the mouse the rich programme being put in place by the Fair this year.
The Grand Exhibition, the African Fair for Books, Culture and Press, and the Student and Educational Training Fair are all three indispensable elements of the Book Fair and are returning for the pleasure of all with a rich and varied programme being planned.

More exclusive encounters, more cultural exhibitions, more life environments are on offer this year, based on well-defined themes so that the visitor will easily be able to find the surroundings that will suit him or her best. While you will still rave about “l’apostrophe”, which broadly proved itself in 2012, “The me place”, “The Swiss place”, “The comic bookshop” and “The hyphen bookshop” are all new areas that will be hosting their own events for the first time this year, with themed catering and very specific events.
Some 700 authors are coming to share with the public some exclusive moments, signing sessions to make your head spin, readings aloud or in silence, exclusive interviews, discussions in a smaller round, ... and many other surprises which will be unveiled on this site in good time.
