FORMA - Gift Articles and Interior Decoration for Professionals - Exhibition 2013

The spring fairs are starting to come to an end and the selections for the coming season have been presented. After multiple fair visits I can only state: what a wonderful opportunity a fair is for trading and “sniffing out” new trends and ideas. Once again I got to realize how excellent place the fair can be for meeting other people in the industry and catching up with them.

While talking with people, I also realized how important the sense of community and belonging to a specific group can be. It's nice to talk about "us", meaning all the people in Forma and in the same industry. In uncertain economical times we should in fact work as "us", not as "them" and "you". Pulling together and joining forces are key factors.

Why divide our strengths, if by working together in cooperation we can create something even better and more fulfilling? The fact is that when shopkeepers are doing well, also the wholesalers are doing well - and vice versa. Without traders, who make purchases and explore the selections, the fair would be a pretty bleak place. And if the fair is missing interesting suppliers, the traders won't get much out of it.
