The name NewNEB is an acronym for the old "Northeast Battery Conference". That conference was a place for electric utility professionals involved in DC back up systems to have a place to share ideas and technology. "NewNEB" which refers to the "New North East Battery Conference" was conceived to provide a place for these professionals to meet and share.
