Why Attend?
This course is designed to provide extensive training in the basic uses of ultrasound as an adjunct to patient care in a busy emergency department. More than eight hours of hands-on scanning practice are incorporated into this two-day course developed and taught by nationally known leaders in the area of ultrasound. One-on-one instruction with numerous facilitators has led past participants to report a 70% - 90% improvement in their scanning skills.

Course Details
• Obtain a targeted review of emergency department specific uses of ultrasound with lectures and skill stations focused on practical protocols
• Acquire a basic understanding of the physics and instrumentation of ultrasound
• Receive more than eight hours of hands-on scanning of live models which enhances technical proficiency and psychomotor skills
• Registrants receive The Handbook of Ultrasound in Trauma and Critical Illness by Drs. Bob Jones and Michael Blaivas and copies of the course PowerPoint presentations
