In INTERSICOP also a moment to recognize the work of businesses, professionals and leading institutions in this sector. This recognition came from the hand of the Federation of Industries for Confectionery, Bakery and Allied-entity promoting the event-with its FICOP Awards.
Finally, the chocolate had a star of exception, as is the brand Cacao Barry and Callebaut. A firm of recognized reputation within INTERSICOP which organized the contest to select the representative of Spain to contest World Chocolate Master 2007, WCM, and with a unique theme this time: national myths and legends. Participants developed various pieces of art for 10 hours, demonstrating a high technical level and knowledge of the commodity. Finally, the jury decided it was Julian Alvarez of Barcelona, who worked the legend of St. George, who represent us in the WCM (Salon du Chocolat in Paris in October 2007). Next to international competition, Cacao Barry and Callebaut convened numerous technical presentations and new concepts related to this food.
The success and the overall satisfaction expressed by exhibitors and professional visitors of the eighth International Exhibition of Bakery, Confectionery and Related Industries, INTERSICOP 2007, encourage the organizers, who are already working on the ninth edition (the fifth row will be held in the Feria de Madrid, organized by IFEMA), to be held from 24 to 28 March 2011.
