Established in 1870, the General Agricultural Competition aims to select and reward the best French products and the best breeding.
It includes three major competitions:
Animal Contest
Competition and Wine Products
Contest Judgment
taking place in the Salon International de l'Agriculture each year.
Because it is organized under the control of the state and subject to a rigorous process of selection and presets, the General Agricultural Competition is known for his impartiality and the value of the results.
Indeed, each year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food defines the rules of the contest, the rules searchable on this site, and external services of the Ministry (DDT) control sample collection products.
The competition of animals is an essential part of the appeal of the International Exhibition of Agriculture for the general public.
