Central Clearing: Managing Cost, Collateral and Operational Efficiency 2015

Join us on our two day course which will mainly focus on buy-side issues however, we will welcome anyone to whom the training course would be of benefit.

The first day of the course will explain how to comply with EMIR and the capital requirements; it will also cover the margin requirements for non-centrally cleared derivatives and operational efficiency. The second day will focus on areas such as the cost of central clearing, collateral management and a review of the recovery and resolution guidelines.

- An overview of how a CCP works and how to manage its risk.
- Knowledge on how to comply with EMIR by understanding how to report, the clearing obligations and collateral management.
- Implementation of the revised policy framework for the capital treatment of bank exposures to central counterparty and the CCP-clearing requirements under the leverage ratio policy.
- Understanding of the recovery and resolution framework by identifying financial safeguards, the difference between bank and CCP recovery resolution and the available protection offered by CCPs for a member default.
- Ability to manage collateral and the cost of central clearing by adopting an appropriate model for OTC clearing.
